DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS
POSITION TITLE: UTILITIES FOREMAN (STORMWATER) (NON-EXEMPT)
PAY GRADE/STARTING SALARY: GRADE 17 – $18.64/hr./$38,784 annually or D.O.Q.
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Have a High School diploma or equivalent. Four or more years’ progressively responsible experience in the operation of a water distribution system, stormwater drainage conveyance system or waster transmission system or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, plus supervisory experience.

Possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) certification, Class B, or obtain the CDL certification within six (6) months of employment.

Possess the National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 within 30 days of employment and the ICS-100 within 90 days of employment. There may be additional NIMS required, which will be schedule by your Supervisor.

WHEN ASSIGNED TO STORMWATER/DRAINAGE CONVEYANCE - SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Plans, organizes, schedules, assigns and assists unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled employees engaged in street sweeping activities and the repair and maintenance of the City’s storm water infrastructure, bridges and seawalls.

Schedules, oversees and assists in the repair and maintenance of sea walls, retaining walls, bridges, culverts and boat launching ramps.

Oversees and participates in the repair, maintenance and enhancements of drainage ditches, storm sewers, catch basins, and related appurtenances and the chemical spraying of drainage ditches and lakes.
