When does my garbage, yard waste or recycling need to be placed for collection?
Place your garbage and recycling carts and yard waste at the curb by 7:00 AM on collection day with the cart handles and the wheels facing the house.  Do not place the carts within 3 feet of objects such as mailboxes, parked vehicles, fire hydrants, low hanging trees, poles and other containers as this will interfere with automated collection for garbage and recycling.
Are there specific rules for residential yard waste?
Yard waste consists of leaves, grass, shrubbery cuttings, logs, tree limbs, brush, palm fronds, and other such matter attending the care of lawns, shrubbery, vines and trees.  Yard waste may be bundled or containerized. All residential yard waste must be placed curbside within three (3) feet of the edge of the traveled portion of the roadway. Yard waste is collected on Wednesdays. Items NOT considered yard waste include wood fencing, landscape timbers, flower pots, yard decoration, mulch and dirt.
