DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: We are Internationally Accredited through CPSE and CAAS, and an ISO Class-1 fire department established in 1926. Located in Central Florida, we serve 18,500 residents, and a business population of 35,000, across 6.2 square miles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) certification, Class B, or obtain the CDL certification within six (6) months of employment. Possess the National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 within 30 days of employment and the ICS-100 within 90 days of employment. There may be additional NIMS required, which will be schedule by your Supervisor.

 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Possess a valid Florida Level 3 Distribution System Operator License or obtain the License within two (2) years of employment.

:   High School diploma with at least one (1) year of related experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and training with emphasizes on guest service and/or a recreational role. Must be able to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and “split” shifts.   Must be comfortable corresponding with the public regarding program or event information, promotions, or regulations. Pass City of Maitland screening requirements.

 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:                                           

Candidate must be available to work all days of the week with variable hours (6:00am to 10:00pm). Successful candidates will have variable program attendant duties to include Park, Farmers Market, Senior Center, Events and Athletics, as well as, other duties that may be necessary.

POSITION TITLE: COMMUNITY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)
PAY RANGE: GRADE 1 - $10.00/hr.
HOURS: 25 Hrs. a Week (Hours may vary)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be available to work all days of the week with variable hours (6:00am to 10:00pm). Successful candidates will have variable program attendant duties to include Park, Farmers Market, Senior Center, Events and Athletics, as well as, other duties that may be necessary.

DEPARTMENT:  POLICE
POSITION TITLE:  SENIOR STAFF ASSISTANT (NON-EXEMPT)
PAY GRADE/STARTING SALARY:   Grade 12 - $14.66/hour/$30,502 annually or D.O.Q.
HOURS: Monday – Friday from 7 am to 4 pm
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent, plus some college course work in secretarial science.  Two or more years of responsible secretarial experience in a professional office environment.  Proficient in the use of personal computers; word processing and spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word and Excel highly desired. 

(Police Department Only) Knowledge of applicable state and national policies and procedures governing the use of FCIC, NCIC, NLETS, and DAVID (DHSMV).  Knowledge of FCIC/NCIC and CJNET software and protocols.   NCIC FCIC certification within the first six months of employment. Must have or be able to complete IS-700 courses within six (6) months of hire.

PAY GRADE/STARTING SALARY:         Grade 10 - $13.25/hour/$27,573 annually or D.O.Q.
HOURS:                                 Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.  One to three years of experience performing work in the building trades, to include street maintenance, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) certification, Class B, or obtain the CDL certification within six (6) months of employment.

Possess the National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 within 90 days of employment. There may be additional NIMS required, which will be schedule by your Supervisor.

Must successfully pass a physical agility test and complete the required training for School Crossing Guards before starting job.  Must obtain the Florida School Crossing Guard Certification, and re-certify annually.

Pass Police Department background screening. Possess certification in First-Aid or obtain this certification within three months of employment.
