National Night Out

Join the Maitland Police Department for National Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Venue on the Lake, 641 S. Maitland Ave. 

The free event will feature demonstrations from the Maitland Police Department, emergency vehicles, kids’ games, food, music and much more. The police department will provide free youth bicycle helmets with fittings. 

Check out the armored response vehicle, mobile command center and police boat. Meet the Chick-fil-A police cow. Kids will enjoy games, a face painter and balloon artist.

A DJ will provide music. Free food and drinks will be served. 
Vendor displays include Bio-One, Gulf State Bank, Victory Martial Arts, Renewal by Anderson, RDV Sports, Peacock Ford, Crime Stopper Hotline, Maitland Station Apartments, Wells Fargo Bank, Maitland Chocolate Factory, State Farm Insurance, Asha Planning and Adeline Apartments.

The event is presented by the Maitland Police Department, the City of Maitland, Venue on the Lake, the Maitland Men’s Club and the Maitland Women’s Club. 

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held across the country to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie with the goal to make our neighborhoods safer. Efforts enhance relationships between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
