NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Capital Improvements Program

You are hereby informed that the City Council of the City of Maitland, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing to adopt the following proposed ordinance:

         AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 1337 IN DIRECT RELATION TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM, TABLE 1, AMENDING THE GOVERNANCE AND IMPLEMENTATION ELEMENT OF THE MAITLAND COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2035 (CDP) TO REPLACE TABLE 7.1 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM TO RECOGNIZE THE ANNUAL UPDATE OF THE CITY OF MAITLAND 5-YEAR CIP; AMENDING THE CDP RELATING TO ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS (OCPS) TO RECOGNIZE THE ANNUAL UPDATE OF THE OCPS 10-YEAR CAPITAL OUTLAY PLAN, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 A public hearing to adopt the ordinance will be held by the City Council of the City of Maitland, Florida, on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 6:30 P.M., or as soon thereafter as is reasonably possible in the Maitland City Hall Council Chambers, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751.

 The purpose of the hearing is to consider an amendment to the City of Maitland Five-Year Capital Improvements Program (CIP), amending the program to include the time period from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2024. The amendment also incorporates modifications to the Governance and Implementation Element of the City of Maitland 2035 Comprehensive Development Plan, to recognize the annual update of the Orange County Public Schools 10-Year Capital Outlay Plan and amend Table 7.1 Capital Improvements Program to recognize the annual update of the CIP and to consider amendment of the adoption date and annual update of the OCPS 10-year Capital Outlay Plan.

A complete copy of the ordinance may be inspected by any interested person or party, Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., in the office of the City Clerk, Maitland City Hall, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida. Interested persons or parties may submit written comments at or before the public hearing or attend the public hearing to be heard by the City Council of the City of Maitland, Florida. Questions concerning the notice of public hearing may be directed to the Community Development Department at (407) 539-6212. The hearing may be continued from time to time.

 Any person who desires to appeal any decision made at this meeting or hearing will need a record of the proceedings and, for this purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
