POSITION TITLE:                INSPECTOR I - COMBINED (NON-EXEMPT)
PAY RANGE:                          GRADE 16 - $17.77/hr./$36,966 annually or D.O.Q.  Inspector I
                                                GRADE 19 - $20.53/hr./$42,723 annually or D.O.Q.  Inspector - Combined
HOURS:                                  Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      

High school graduate or equivalent.  Position may qualify at two levels, as follows:

 Inspector I:

A minimum of one Standard Inspectors Certification through Florida Statute 468 from the list below at time of hire.

 Building Inspector
 Plumbing Inspector
 Electrical Inspector
 Mechanical Inspector
 1 & 2 Family Dwelling Inspector Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license.

Inspector Combined:

A minimum of two Standard Inspectors Certifications.

 Building Inspector
 Plumbing Inspector
 Electrical Inspector
 Mechanical Inspector
 1 & 2 Family Dwelling Inspector
 State of Florida, Fire Safety Inspector (Per FS 633)
 Building Plans Examiner
 Plumbing Plans Examiner
 Electrical Plans Examiner
 Mechanical Plans Examiner
 Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license

In addition, possess or be able to obtain additional certifications through the State of Florida, within the time frame outlined in a written agreement between the applicant and the Department Director, or his designee.
